Years ago we accidentally found the monumental Feked in the hilly Baranya-county. We immediately fell in love with this picturesquet village and not much later we bought a crumbling old farmhouse saving it from demolition.
We restored the house and over the years we improved it step by step. The end result is a family home that meets the needs of today without losing the original atmosphere of the centuries old farmhouse. The house comes with intimate garden, an orchard with all kind of different fruit trees and a flower meadow.
The house has 2 bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a well-equipped, spacious kitchen, 2 toilets and a large bathroom with a double shower. Under the house runs a 20-meter-long, renovated wine cellar which is the perfect cool spot for wine tasting on a typical hot summer day.

We are together since we worked together on a festival in Budapest where we used to live being both active in the cultural scene. Next to arts and culture we discovered more passions we shared: old houses, renovating, restorating, cooking, gardening and redesigning houses. In Feked everything came together. The ‘old’ house in the centre of the pittoresque village we obtained in 2006. Being only a ruin on a bare piece of land we could start our project. Over the years we bought furniture, paintings and improved the house by maintaining the original atmosphere. After moving back we moved to New York for five years but we always cam home in summer. Holidays in Feked means cooking and eating together with our daughters, friends and family. Try to reshape a wilderness back into a garden; matain the orchard and the flower meadow behind the house. After more than 15 years we can harvest our own fruits and vegetables. Having our own chickens is the next dream on the calendar.
Though the house will never be totally finished we got close two years ago after making the house more sustainable with solar panels and finishing the barn into a summer kitchen/lounge area. So we were ready for the next project we named Preshaz. Just outside the village a bit higher than the rest of the houses we found two old houses where over centuries wine was produced by local farmers. The rest is history and the same story started all over again. We started with a historical house of which nobody can tells us how old it is. This time we decided to make the design less traditional and made an open space with lots of windows and patio doors to the garden with ancient walnut trees.
